I bought the Steel Yellow Dyson
DC07 in Oct. 2003 and you can click
here to see pictures. It
is a year old as I write this.
The DC07 Dyson comes in a variety
of colors, but they are all the same basic vacuum. The accessories
and prices are different. Refurbished models start at $279.99,
so if you have been put off by the high price grab
a factory reconditioned unit while you can. Dyson customer
service is reported to be excellent. If you have any problems
contact
them direct. You will find their 800 number right on the vacuum
handle.

The things I like most about the
Dyson next to the powerful suction: The 35'
cord means I can reach most everything without unplugging
the vacuum. There are many access points so you can quickly
clear any clogs. Have to say I haven't had any clogs with
this vacuum yet. There are no filters or bags to buy.
With the amount of hair my dog puts out I could easily fill a bag
a week, that would get expensive. Dyson has a clutch mechanism
to protect the belt. It will slip and make a noise if
something tries to get stuck in there. Almost a year and I haven't
broken a belt! There is one filter which is removable and you should
wash it once every six months. The belt is well protected, when
I cut my long hair off the roller I can see no hair in the belt

a pet owner myself I know how hard pet hair can be on a vacuum.
There is an 800 number right on the handle if
you should ever need service. Dyson will pick up the vacuum and
return it to you if you need warranty service.
The Shark
Cordless Sweeper is my favorite for quick cleanups. It works
great on pet hair, dog kibble, bird seed, rawhide bone chips,
etc.
