Garmin GPS Navigator
 If you know someone who drives a lot they will probably appreciate a GPS navigator. Preloaded maps make it easy to find your way with turn by turn directions. No monthly fees to pay.
A friend of mine brought one of these on our trip to Colorado last year. We never got lost. Different models will have different features. The one we used gave voice turn by turn directions, showed the speed we were traveling, showed the speed limit, (which is quite handy when you see the police and haven't seen a speed limit sign recently) had points of interest, places to eat, gas stations, etc.

Puppy Tweets so your Dog Can Twitter
 Puppy Tweets doesn't get very good reviews but I am including it just cause it is very unusual. Besides if you are a high tech nerd you probably want your dog to be one of the first pups on twitter.
You hang the tweets tag on your dogs collar and plug the receiver into your computers USB port. The tag comes pre-loaded with over 500 phrases so your dog can send Tweets via Twitter.
I suppose you could hang it in a tree and let your tree twitter, or put it on your ham sandwich, use your imagination! But gee, what's the point?

I have spent hours scouring the web for high tech and unique gifts for Christmas 2010. Hopefully you can get some good ideas here and not need to spend as much time on the computer as I do. I look for unique products and also read the reviews to make sure they are reliable. If there is really a Santa Claus, I would like him known that I could use everything on this list, well except for that puppy tweets thang. I do not let my dogs twitter.
