The original Roomba robot vacuum
first made it's appearance in 2002 and they sold like wildfire.
Many places ran out of stock at Christmas. 2004 brings us a new
more powerful Roomba the Discovery
series. Electrolux, Karcher,
Sharper Image and Friendly Robotics all have new robot vacuum models
available in the USA this year. The promise of robots to do our
housework has finally arrived and this is just the beginning. Dyson
and several other manufacturers will have robot vacuums availble
in the USA next year.
Robot vacuum prices range from $150.00
to $1700.00. People raved about their Roombas and the
new model can only be better. iRobot has extended the warranty
from 90 days
to 1 year. The Discovery robot vacuum series has more power and
a larger dirt bin, the higher end Roomba models will return
to the charging station when they get tired. If you want
a robot vacuum and don't want to spend a fortune the Roomba is
the way to go.
I think the Karcher RC3000 is the best robot vacuum.
It does something I have yet to see any other robot
vacuum
do. It returns
to the charging station and empties itself when it gets
full. The
Electrolux Trilobite is also worth a look.
