Read the reviews , lazy housekeepers love their Roombas! The Roomba Robot Vacuum has been shown to clean as well or better than standard upright vacuums. It works on hard floor surfaces like tile, laminate and hardwood as well as low and medium pile carpets. It is not recommended for use on very plush or shag carpeting. Roomba even works great on pet hair! Turn on your Roomba vacuum cleaner and leave it alone to clean by itself. It starts off in a spiral pattern. When it contacts a wall it will follow it then begin to criss cross the room in a straight line. It will continue to clean until it's cleaning time is up. The new Roomba Pro and Pro Elite have a spot cleaning cycle that lets it clean a 3' area in a spiral pattern. The virtual wall unit is used to confine your Roomba to one room or area. It uses an invisible infared bean to create an invisible wall up to 13' wide. Roomba will not cross the beam. 2 D batteries are needed for the virtual wall and are not included. Roomba will pick up large particles as well as fine dirt, dust, lint and hair. Simply empty the particle bin in the trash when it is full. There are no costly bags to buy. Roomba comes with a NiMH battery charger that takes about 12 hours to charge. The optional Rapid charger will charge the battery in about 2.5 hours. The Roomba Pro Elite model comes with a remote control. You will need two AA batteries for the remote. The remote control lets you drive the vacuum to the area you want to clean then select and pause cleaning cycles without bending down to push the buttons on the vacuum. How is that for lazy! |
