The
Trilobite is an intelligent robot vacuum that uses harmless ultrasound
to navigate around the
house. It is a fully automatic vacuum that moves easily around
and under furniture. Highly sensitive sensors help
it navigate around items, the trilobite can even avoid a wine
glass.
The Trilobite has four motors, one for each driven wheel and
one each for the brush and the fan. The Trilobite will find it's
own way back to the charger when it gets tired, recharge and
continue cleaning.
When it is done cleaning it will stay at the charging station
in rest mode. It takes about 2 hours for a full charge and can
clean about 60 minutes. The dirt cup holds 1.2 liters so you
won't have to empty it as often as those low cost robot vacuums.
The
Trilobite has 3 cleaning modes, normal, quick and spot clean.
Special magnetic strips are placed in doorways, stairs and other
openings where you don't want your Trilobite to travel. The magnetic
strips act a wall and keep your robot vacuum where you want it.

areas. While it scans the wall it creates a picture of the room.
It uses this information to calculate the time required for independent
cleaning.
